Baldur's Gate 3 is coming out in just over a week on PC, with a PlayStation release coming the month after. RPG fans who are interested in the game are wondering if they can play this turn-based game with their friends, though, and if there are multiplayer options beyond what you'd expect from a game like this, and we've got all the answers that you need.
Is Baldur's Gate 3 Multiplayer?
If you're playing online, you can have up to four different people take part in one session, meaning that you can emulate the experience of playing Dungeons & Dragons without having to worry about actually buying dice and the sourcebooks. As long as your four friends have a wireless connection you'll be good to go and will be able to experience the nearly 100-hour story with them the entire way.
Baldur's Gate 3 will also feature split-screen co-op, meaning that you can play the game locally with your friends. You'll be able to play in the same room with your friends and enjoy this world together without having to worry about an internet connection or constantly hoping that your friend can actually connect to their internet at any given time.
It is worth noting though that Larian Studios has officially confirmed that the Steam Deck version of Baldur's Gate 3 will NOT have Split-screen support. Now, this is likely not a shock to many people planning to play on the Deck, since the screen is small and really created for one user. However, this also means that playing the game docked will still have split-screen disabled, which could come as a disappointment to many players.
